Hi I'm Scott Martin! I'm the singer, drummer, guitarist, bassist, songwriter, just everything for The Tar Sands. I got sick of playing with people who didn't wanna play rowdy fuzzed out garage punk so I DIY'd My debut album, Unfiltered is all me, and all dirty, greasy, gross tones & themes. Enjoy!
"Loudest acoustic act ever." -Daytrotter
“NICE POWER POP.” -WXPN, Philadelphia
"I like the sound and the way he is forcing the world to contend with him." -Brian Ritchie, Violent Femmes
"Good proper Midwestern indie rock." -Matthew Logan Vasquez, Delta Spirit
The best description of us came from a sound engineer in Montreal, who called our sound trash lounge folk prog rock. Taking influence from the likes of Broken Social Scene, Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and Wilco, it seems pretty apt. We’re noisy and melodic, with a hint of salty nostalgia.
Dorking based Vinyl Staircase had an amazing 2018, with a sold-out show at London’s The Lexington, support slots with Wolf Alice, Sunflower Bean and Swim Deep, international press and radio plays, and a summer of festivals including Boardmasters and TRUCK. This is their surf-rock new single.
Hello lovely people!! Check out the second single off of our upcoming album Save Your Soul. It's the ultimate rock'n'roll track with gritty guitars, hard-hitting piano melodies and an infectious chorus! Follow our socials to see what else we have coming soon! Love from Percival Elliott.
We're a garbageshop quartet from York writing rock songs for day-to-day catharsis, tied up in a neat little package with lyrical themes of self-indulgence and primal fears. Our new song 'Fencer' is about how dangerous and spineless a centrist attitude can be.
THUMPER are Dublin’s most exciting noise-pop sextet, delivering "bubblegum psych through a wall of sonic death" (Paste Magazine). The band have a reputation for raucous and frenzied live shows, and a penchant for howling feedback and pounding rhythm.
We form a female fronted band called Annie Taylor as an homage to the enigmatic woman who jumped the Niagara Falls in a barrel and survived back in 1901. Now we feel ready to take a deep leap into the water with this new single and hope to share it as much as we can.
