We're a three-person (wait... four! We finally added a bassist) emo/post-hardcore band from Lubbock, Texas. We've got a foot firmly in both camps, with influences from 90's/early 2000's emo and post-hardcore as well as noise rock like Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, and Archers of Loaf.

We're Solitary Set from Baltimore, MD, though we all moved here from other places originally. We've been playing hardcore and pop punk for our entire lives, but with this band we wanted to try something different. Most of us have families and we're not as interested in screaming into a microphone or smashing our heads through walls as we used to be. Solitary Set is a little quieter, a little more introspective, and a little more mature, just like us.

Hey, this is our new single 'Birds of Prey'. Written in a manic few days and then torn apart at our live shows we finally worked out how to play it properly and recorded it earlier this year. Loud guitars and screams galore with a sharp groove to dig into to. We hope you enjoy it.
