The best description of us came from a sound engineer in Montreal, who called our sound trash lounge folk prog rock. Taking influence from the likes of Broken Social Scene, Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and Wilco, it seems pretty apt. We’re noisy and melodic, with a hint of salty nostalgia.
"Loudest acoustic act ever." -Daytrotter
“NICE POWER POP.” -WXPN, Philadelphia
"I like the sound and the way he is forcing the world to contend with him." -Brian Ritchie, Violent Femmes

Hey everyone. Our band is called My Cruel Summer and we’re a punk/americana band from New Jersey. We released our self titled debut album in August 2017. Now we have an upcoming EP called “Lower Voices” set to be released May 21st 2018. You can find all our music on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music.
"Degenerates" is arguably the most intimate track from the band's critically-acclaimed 2017 Equal Vision Records full-length Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go, and the video - composed largely of footage of the band on tour - does a great job of translating that introspection.

Yo everyone, we are Pessimist! We try to write and play Pop Punk in a way that is different to other similar-sounding bands of our genre. Hello there! We're a band called GUTS. from Lincoln. We play grunge flavoured, anthemic powerpop bangers with a britpop-esque snottiness and swagger. Check out our new single 'Hush', the first track released from our upcoming EP, recorded and mixed by the legendary Bob Cooper.
Hey guys, we're back with a brand new single 'Bulldog', a satirical commentary walking the circus tightrope between patriotism and bigotry. Without getting too political, this is a fun-poke at the dinosaurs who 'wanted their country back'.
